  1. What do these three items have in common: newspaper, hand, saliva?

They all smack faces! I’ve noticed an amusing (to me at least) trend in the first three episodes that involves someone getting smacked in the face. If no faces get smacked in the 4th episode, I might be disappointed. 😉

  2. ..another fictionally character Clara should want to meet… James Bond….. The Doctor and Bond battling an alien led Spectre.. oh yes..

  3. I was rewatching this episode today, and I got a very big Monty Python and the Holy Grail kind of vibe early on with how Robin Hood acts. It’s very campy, and feels a lot like something from that movie or a Flying Circus sketch. Call me crazy, but I’m a fan of the over-the-top laughing and buffoonery (is that a real word?) in this episode. It’s all part of the fun.

I also noticed that in the teaser, the Doctor says 1190 AD while setting the destination, waits a bit and then adds “ish” to the end of that line. I missed that the first time watching.
