  1. Hi gents,
Thanks for the continuing countdown. Doctor Who may not be my favourite show year by year, but it is my favourite of all time, and it is easy to find a lot to love over the course of fifty years.

Are you celebrating the 50th personally? I am lucky enough to be attending the 3D cinema screening just around the corner from me. Both sessions have sold out, so it should be pretty wild. I think it is screening on a dozen cinemas in Melbourne. It is being shown in the cinema only an hour or two after the BBC screening (Sunday morning here).

The ABC (our BBC equivalent) is screening it twice – once simultaneously with the BBC at some god-awful hour of the morning, and again on Sunday evening. There is a fair bit of press interest, but the show is pretty popular here.

My sister knows to buy me the latest season box set every Christmas, makes shopping easy for her. Lovely to have a sister that indulges her 45 year old nerd brother.

Anyway, thanks for the continuing podcasts – I know there is a lot more time and effort than simply sitting down to record, and it is appreciated.

Check out your latest review on iTunes Australia, if you can access it.

    • I didn’t get a chance to get tickets to the 50th in theaters, but I think I’m currently planning to watch it with a friend over at her house because she gets BBC America. I do need to tell her I want to do that though. Hmmm…

And thanks for the lovely words. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the Australia iTunes store and so can’t give you a shoutout. But if you screenshot your review and email it to us we’ll be sure to give you your shoutout!

      • No shout out required, and what is that damn email address anyway? Forgotten as usual.
Rest assured it was very complimentary. Unfortunately the only one in the Oz store…hmm.
