  1. It’s amazing how people are discussing Peter Capaldi as though he had one foot in the grave. I haven’t seen any of his other work so I can’t speak to him specifically, but I think it’s a bold move by BBC and speaks well of their intentions to the series.

    • This made me laugh like a bandit. “One foot in the grave.” The dude’s 55. FIFTY FIVE. One foot in the grave. My god.

  2. As a 46 year old I take great offence at Peter Capaldi being described as old. Actually I think he looks younger than me! He is certainly a spring chicken compared to Hartnell, even though they were the same age. Hartnell basically retired due to ill health – amazing how different the age of 55 is after half a century.
    I tend to agree that he will probably be a two season Doctor – I think the BBC will struggle to sell action figures. However I hope he is a great success and leaves on his own terms.
