  1. Still listening to this episode, but I had to take a quick break to say that I started watching The 100 yesterday! I had some extra time due to snowy weather and ended up watching 10 episodes in a row! I’ve had a lot of fun with it so far. It’s pretty much CW Teenage Lost on Speed (they even throw some flashbacks). It’s got breakneck pacing, so if anything is annoying, chances are it’ll be done within a couple episodes.

I just wanted some dumb popcorn fun, and The 100 has delivered so far. We’ll see how I feel after finishing the first season.

  2. Okay, so totally forgot The 100 was a mid-season replacement last year, and I was taken by surprise when I finished the first season after 13 episodes. I’m hooked. It may not be the best show on TV, but it’s a lot of fun to watch. Definitely going to try and catch up with the 2nd season before the finale. Hopefully the 2nd season is as much fun as the first was for me.

  3. It turns out that The 100’s second season is much more ambitious than the first season. There’s more of everything. More characters, more world building, more sets, more locations, more factions, and (most importantly) more quality. The scope of the show expanded in so many interesting ways for the second season.

The first season was a fun distraction. The second season is a smart dystopian story full of well-written characters and examinations on the cost of the brutal things the characters have to do to survive. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that there are a ton of great female characters on this show that get just as much attention/screen time as any of the male characters, if not more.

I am now all caught up and eagerly awaiting the finale of the second season. I think The 100 found its identity, and I hope it sticks the landing with the finale and moves on to an even better third season.
