Joseph Darowski

Joseph J. Darowski has a PhD in American Studies from Michigan State University. His research focuses on American popular culture, including comic books, television, and film. He is the author of X-Men and the Mutant Metaphor: Race and Gender in the Comics and the editor of the essay collections in The Ages of the Superheroes, including volumes on Superman, Wonder Woman, the X-Men, the Avengers, and forthcoming collections on Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk. Todd Mack

Todd Kimball Mack has a PhD in Iberian and Latin American Cultures from Stanford University. He currently teaches Spanish language, literature, and culture at Southern Utah University. His research focuses on the intersection between art and everyday life, and on representations of autism in the humanities. Andrew Darowski (The Producer)

Andrew Darowski graduated from BYU in 2014 with a degree in American Studies and editing. His academic career was largely focused on deconstructive analysis of entertainment and culture in America, a passion that continues in his work as the producer for The Protagonist Podcast. While attending BYU he gained aural experiencing as a producer for BYU Radio where he produced segments on topics ranging from professional deception services to Giant African Land Snails to optimal lighting for creative vs analytical thinking. He hopes that The Protagonist Podcast is the first step towards a large and successful podcasting empire.
